I’ve been a fan of Missy for a while now back in the UK where she isn’t that well known (god knows why) However, after five years away from the mic she is back with her third studio album ‘The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle’.
Missy’s music has touched thousands with her heart felt lyrics that actually mean something as opposed to crap like “Call Me Maybe” that makes me want to hurt people.

I’m sure you’re all familiar with the current number one in the UK charts. Gotye has made it to the top spot with a song based on Baa Baa Black Sheep, it’s still catchy even if it is a nursery rhyme. Some of the Mum’s out there even thought it featured Sting.
This TotW is a brilliant cover of this number one. Walk Off The Earth are a Canadian band who are quickly becoming YouTube sensations due to their cover versions of this track, The Beatles and even LMFAO. Their hook is their performance. This week’s track comes courtesy of Lana Del Rey, her most famous release is probably ‘Video Games‘, but after giving her album a go I think this is a gem. ‘Off to the Races’ is a standout track for me, it’s got a bit of a split personality, switching from lyrics such as ”He loves me with every beat of his cocaine heart” to “I’m gonna stay and pray with him til the end”.
